The pirate coat was made popular with the making of “Pirates of the Caribbean.” An ideal addition to any man's renaissance costume.
My Pirate Coat is made of a fine medium weight suiting material, trimmed with gold braid and stitching. Although decorative, I must tell you that the coat does not button, the buttons are just for show.
This coat is cut very full so it flows nicely. The cuffs are large, and adorned with gold braid button holes.
I would not recommend making this coat in anything less than a fine suiting material, as it would not hold its shape as well, however the color is a matter of choice. I have made it in black, blue and brown.
Pirate coat is not lined.
I have made and sold quite a few of these coats and my customers were happy with them.
The pattern for this pirate coat comes in SM, MED, LG, and XLG, therefore it is not an accurate size. The best way to decide on size is to measure from shoulder to shoulder across the back, with this I can decide the proper size for you.
When ordering, in the “Special Instructions” area of the order form indicate your choice of color, and the shoulder measurement.
I will contact you by phone or e-mail before making the coat to make sure it is as you wish.
